October 28th I was on my way home from the great escape and my wrist started to hurt out of no where. On a hurt scale when it first started it was about a 4.5-5 , I waited up to Thursday, at this point my wrist was about a 6.5 and I wanted to see if anything was wrong so I went to Warrensburg Health Center to get checked because my right wrist was swollen and was a little bigger then my other hand. They took about 5 different pov x-rays of my wrist. They told me that they think it's just a sprain or tentonitis. One of the nurses who assisted me told me "well considering you can lift yourself up off the chair, it must not be that bad" mind you I have high pain tolerance, even if I'm in pain I push through it. But I have never broken, or sprained any bone in my body. I was told if the pain comes back to come see them again for more x-rays. Well, my hand is now beat red, swollen worse, and the bump is worse. I have been wearing the wrist ace bandages because that's what I was instructed to wear. So the hospital gave me a ace bandage, and we bought one at the store the next day. Come to know that the ace bandage has latex in it and I'm allergic...didn't bother me tho I just put the other one on. Now my pain scale is about a 8/10 and I will not go to warrensburg health center to be told nothing is wrong with me, when I have people telling me left and right that my hand is bad. And don't get me wrong they've helped me because I'm in the process of getting insurance and they were allowed to see me, but why come back to a place that will tell me every time that nothing's wrong with me?
I like my Dr and the other professionals I have seen over the years. It is also a very clean facility.
My primary provider is at HHHN in Warrensburg. I have been very impressed with the front desk service and the care I have received.
Going to this health center was very convenient for myself and my family. However, the service that you receive from the nurses and the doctors is completely unacceptable. On many occasions I have used their online communication and had to wait days (I'm not talking 48 hours) I mean 5-6 days. The communication with Dr patient is horrible and almost nonexistent. You have to beg to be treated. I will take my business elsewhere. And would not recommend this facility to anyone. Truly a shame.
However, one area that needs improvement, are referrals. Some of the Drs I was. referred to are not using the most innovative procedures and unless you do the research, you might not know what is out there.
The new building is clean, organized and nice to be in. My entire family sees their primary care doctors here and we've been here for urgent care as well. No matter the reason for the visit I've found every doctor and mid-level to be warm and genuine. With that said, there are a few front-desk staff members and several nurses who could use an attitude adjustment. Luckily for them the pleasantness of the doctors, PA's and NP's make up for their occasional curtness. I have to knock off a star for the front-desk staff making me feel uncomfortable almost every time I go in and for the aloofness of every nurse I've encountered.
Convenient, clean, nice staff, gentle. Good work!
